I spent two weeks driving to various destinations in Spain, and these top 8 national parks were the highlight of my tour. I visited many national parks in Spain, and each one brought something new to me – peace, thrill, silence, beauty. And here is my piece of the story.

Ordesa y Monte Perdido, the Peaceful National Park in Spain

As soon as I entered Ordesa y Monte Perdido, I sensed that I had crossed over to the other face of Spain. It is a Spanish national park that is inhabited by high trails, cliffs, and rivers. It is one of the most tranquil national parks one can visit in Spain. I strolled by great walls of rocks, and over waterfalls where I could not stop feeling peaceful. The silence was extremely high in Spain. To me, it was one of the most relaxing sites to visit in Spain.

Picos de Europa, Spain, Wild Mountain National Park

My next stop was Picos de Europa, a rugged and ancient national park in the North of Spain. It felt like stepping into a painting, with the cable car ride in Fuente De offering a breathtaking view of the valleys below. This untamed beauty makes it one of the most adventurous spots to visit in Spain.

The Volcanic Heart of Spanish National Parks: Teide

My visit to Teide National Park in Tenerife was a journey to a unique landscape. The early morning cable car ride offered a surreal view of the sun rising over the volcanic terrain, making it feel like a different planet. Teide is not just a volcano, but one of the most unique national parks in Spain, a must-visit for those intrigued by unusual landscapes.

I was visiting La Gomera to check out the national park of Garajonay, and it turned out to be one of my favorite national parks in Spain to visit. This national park is full of laurel forests that are constantly misty. I was walking slowly, I heard some birds and listened to their songs, and smelled fresh cool air. This was a part of Spain that felt unspoiled and magical. Garajonay is just the place to go when you want to get away to some interesting but quiet green paths and places to see in Spain.

Galician Atlantic Islands: The beauty of a Coast in a Spanish National Park

I also went on a ferry ride to the Cies Islands, which are located in Spain in an area called the Atlantic Island of Galicia National Park. The white beaches were quite empty, and the water was crystal clear. I strolled in peaceful coastal tracks, and I observed seabirds as they flew. This is also one of the most exotic national parks to visit in Spain, as it provides you with the beauty and serenity of an island. There was something secret about this place compared to all the other places to visit in Spain.

Cabañeros -The Silent Spanish National Park in Central Spain

Cabañeros National Park is an unexpected Park. This national park is remote, located in the heart of Spain, yet it is not overcrowded and has a lot of wildlife. This was Spain, but the landscape made me think of African safaris. Cabárceno Park is one of the most natural and relaxed national parks in Spain. It is ideal when you want silence and open heaven when visiting new sites in Spain.

Caldera de Taburiente Spanish National Park

On La Palma island, I immersed myself in Caldera de Taburiente, a Spanish national park with one of the most dramatic landscapes. This national park is a volcanic crater and is very vast. I hiked into the caldera during the day and looked at the stars in the night. The clearness of the sky in this part is one of the best things to witness in Spain. This is one of the national parks to visit in Spain, and it was very powerful, yet soft in a way.
